Make Votes Matter

Judith Rogerson and Andrew Murday at the Makes Votes Matter meeting in Harrogate.

Make Votes Matter is an organisation which was begun in 2015 to promote PR voting in UK Parliamentary elections. It is recruiting people from all parties and none in support of a voting system that ensures that everyone's vote counts and that the number of votes cast is reflected in the number seats won. As an example of the current imbalance, in 2015 SNP won 4.7% of the popular vote but took 56 seats while the Greens won 3.8% of the vote and only won a single seat.
